Don’t Miss the House of Cards New Season Finale

For many families with teenage children, the dream of moving home again with the Fords is nearly always a reality. For the last seven seasons, the Fords have thrilled fans with their unique and refreshing characters. The Duffer brothers, who stars in the HGTV series Restored, will once again showcase their unique boundless ingenuity in every home improvement. From adding custom steel details that honor an entire family’s history in their local neighborhood to re-modeling special items from their childhood home, the Fords are sure to delight homeowners with each meaningful design turn.

In the second half of the third season: viewers will once again have a chance to follow the progress of Renoir and Andy in their home renovation adventure. In the premiere episode, titled “Home Again,” Renoir and Andy were able to solve the riddle of finally having a room large enough for their home theater system. When asked what their dream room looks like, they both responded with a simple, “A big screen.” Though the episode only featured the Fords’ two ideas for a big screen, the homeowners’ interest was clearly piqued. From that point forward, the Fords seemed to be in every home improvement episode that would air, as they were consistently hired for new home renovations.

This led to the introduction of the Duffer brothers’ first spinoff series, Pittsburgh: Home Again. Airing Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. Eastern, the series followed the progress of the Duffer family as they struggled to finish their renovation of Andy’s old apartment. The Duffer family included spouses Ben (John Ensor), Amy (Dana Barron) and Jack (David Strathairn), parents Stan and Ellen (Beth Harris), and older brother Matt (Brian Bauman). The series was a ratings success, drawing a record number of viewers.

In the second season of the renovation drama: Ben and Andy continued their travels in search of the perfect home for their new venture, which included a new restaurant. Season two saw the addition of more traditional families – grandparents Rose (Carol Burnett), Joseph (John Mahoney), and Ruth (Siggy Nunnally), along with Ben’s former college roommate David (James Patterson). The additions of these familiar faces helped people identify with the Duffer household, which gave the series an appealing quality of realism.

The third season of the popular television series: finally brought us back to the hometowns of the Duffer family. The Duffer brothers returned to their childhood homes – though only for a brief time. After leaving Annabel’s Restaurant, they drove the family to their childhood home in Encinitas, CA (which is where the name “Duffer” came from). The move brought them back to those sweet childhood memories, and this time, Ben and Andy lived in their new home with their long-term partner Lisa (Heather Lindberg). The dynamic family continued to change, as each member of the Duffer family dealt with being transferred back to their childhood home, while also dealing with new romantic entanglements.

Frankly, I had forgotten how much I missed watching this show: when it first went back for a fourth season. Watching the old episodes again just reminded me of how much the characters in this show grew and changed, and how important their friendship was to the overall story. I know that a lot of people are going to be disappointed with how this new season ends, but I will be sure to check out what happens in season four! If you want to catch up on what happened last year, I would highly recommend that you watch the beginning episodes of the fourth season of House of Cards, because they really make you feel like you’re caught up with everything that’s happening in this fantastic show.
